Low light is the most challenging time for a camera. If your subject is moving.. that makes it even worse. Flashes in compact cameras are small, and not very powerful. Usually anything beyond 10 or 15ft is out of range.
Digital SLRs (DSLRs) are the best at low light, high ISO photography, but they're bulky and expensive. But- if you're serious about photography, this is the way to go. something like a Nikon D80, Canon Rebel XT or XTi, Pentax K10D or others would all do nicely for you.
You have two ways to go. Get a camera with a flash 'hotshoe' and then buy an aftermarket flash gun. They are far, far more powerful than the little ones in the camera. (they also take a while to learn how to use)
And/Or look for a camera with better high ISO performance. This narrows your choices. Either a DSLR, as previously suggested, or a Fuji. If you want a compact camera, the Fuji F20 for under $150 is terrific. More capability is the F31fd. Raw (also called 'dry') denim usually start out with dark, deep, bluish dye we call indigo. Most dry denim also tend to be a bit stiff at first, even after first few days (or weeks, depending on brand) of intensive wearing. In addition, it's also important to know that dry denims 'bleed' their indigo dye over time.
If you wear your dry denim often and hard enough, the original indigo color will gradually fade out, revealing creases and 'stress-patterns' in places where you naturally stress your jeans when wearing. This is usually desirable.
If you're wondering why these are called as dry/raw denim, well, that's because the jeans aren't washed or put through artificial-distressing processes (hence dry, since most likely the jeans haven't touched water in the manufacturing process).
Many non-designer clothing companies, like GAP, intentionally put their jeans through specific processes/wash which artificially distress the jeans. With dry denim, you could literally create your own individually unique distress-patterns.
However, this magical process would not take place if you don't wait at least 6 months before washing your dry denim for the first time (otherwise the indigo paint will bleed evenly over the jeans, leaving them to look dull).
