Avoid using alcohol if you are known to be predisposed to panic attacks. Alcohol actually is harmful to your mood, as it is technically a depressant. When you mix that with your panic attack, it can dangerous or deadly. Furthermore, some medications commonly prescribed for this condition have negative interactions with alcohol. Stop your panic attacks by making sure that you get a full night’s sleep every night. Your mind will not be calm if you are overly tired. You are more likely to have panic attacks if your mind is uneasy. If sleep disturbance is an issue, be sure to consult your physician.
Try rolling your head from one side to the other and working the facial muscles. Get in a great back stretch, and focus on rolling your shoulders. These techniques may all help to stop your panic attack from happening in the first place.
